Per Transaction Fee
The upfront per transaction cost is 3 Euro. This is a fixed fee and does not change no matter the size of your transfer. If you are transferring in currencies other than the euro you will be charged the whatever 3 Euro equivalent is in the currency you are transferring from. This currency fair fee is charged during your transaction and so is deducted from the total amount you receive in your destination currency.

The percentage deducted is in the form of a commission and is applies to the amount exchanged. The reason the percentage varies is because CurrencyFair offers two ways to exchange currency. Their QuickTrade method charges between 0.4% and 0.5%. Their unique peer to peer currency exchange MarketPlace method will apply a 0.15% if your trade is matched by a peer. If your trade is not matched, CurrencyFair will step in and match you applying their QuickTrade fee. This commission is built in so the converted currency amount you are offered if what you will receive. As the fee can very depending on your method of conversion, they advertise that the average fee is approximately 0.35%. That’s a good deal.
